Project:
Tubular! is a fast-paced arcade-style shooter game. Missiles you fire will rotate endlessly around the planet and become obstacles you'll have to avoid! If you miss a target you create a new obstacle for yourself, but if you don't hit targets fast enough, you will quickly run out of time! It's a vicious balance of speed and accuracy which will keep you alive in Tubular!

The game was made by a group of eight students, with my task being to texture all assets in the game, or otherwise ensure they received a style-consistent texture. I did about 90% of the textures you see in the game, ranging from the main character to level mesh to the skybox. The art style is highly inspired by Mario Galaxy by Nintendo, and everything was meant look bright, fluffy and cartoony. I developed a texturing pipeline through the use of mudbox so that I could quickly - and without problems - create all the textures we needed. Next to that, I did a lot of UV's and some 3D modeling. The game was made in the timespan of around five days and we did an extra pass of two days to make sure it was ready for the Independant Games Festival.
